Our Story in Color

Hey! Kristyn and Alex Gustafson here. We’re a husband and wife duo who believe great art should make you feel something. From vibrant originals to thoughtfully crafted photography prints, we want great pieces to be accessible and affordable.

You don’t have to be an art critic to “know” good art. Whether you’re curating a gallery wall or searching for a single statement piece, if something speaks to you, than that should be enough.

We pull our inspiration from the ocean, nature, and places we’ve traveled to. Originally, from New England, we have lived in Southern California for over 10 years, and grown our family here. Our golden retriever, Mahi, and two young daughters join us on our adventures, and help inspire our artistic explorations.

    We are taking this new venture day by day, so for now we are only offering local delivery and pickup in Orange County.

  • Every time we travel some place new, we love to buy art or local crafts to bring memorable accents to our home.

    We love big, bold pieces, and it has always been inaccessible to us. Large format artworks average thousands of dollars, even from up and coming artists.

    We wanted to offer mid-large format pieces that were actually affordable.

    Also, being creative makes us happy. We paint and take pictures of things that we love.

  • No! But we love being creative, and art brings us joy.

    Kristyn has been painting and drawing most of her life, and returned to painting in 2025 after a long hiatus.

    Alex has been taking photographs since he was a teenager, and has run a successful production company for 15+ years.

  • Original artwork is a one of a kind piece that has no prints or reproductions. All of the paintings in this shop are originals works.

    Prints are printed copies of art or photography. Our photographic pieces are printed on high-quality color paper.

  • Easy! Do you like it? Do you want it? Does it make you feel something?

    If the answer is yes, than it’s good art!

  • The majority of the paintings are mid-size pieces - anywhere from 18 × 24 in to 40 × 40. Our goal is to offer most between $75-$250, based on material cost and hours spent creating.

    Photograph prints are 18 × 24, and will range from $50 - $75 per piece to cover the cost of high quality printing materials.

  • No! Our intention with this shop is to offer vibrant, meaningful pieces of art at an affordable price.

    Pricing is determined based on how many hours go into the painting, or creating the photograph composition - combined with the cost of materials.

  • At this time we do not offer shipping. Only local pick up or delivery.

  • Feel free to send us a message and we will try to figure it out! If you are in the contingent US, we can explore the cheapest shipping options.

    Should you move forward with purchasing, you would be responsible for shipping & handling charges.

  • No, at this time we do not offer custom work. But if you have a reallllllly great idea that you just have to see come to life, drop us a line and we’ll consider it.
